UT 26: The Rise X Made Of Stills

For the latest Unexpected Thursday episode, we had the chance to ride inside a studio. As promised two days ago, here are pictures and a video of the time we spent there. Everyone had a blast, big thanks to Julien Grimard and everyone at Made Of Stills for making this possible. Hit the READ MORE link below to see more photos and Unexpected Thursday 26 !
For the last one or two months, Julien kept talking about how sick it would be to go ride the studio where he works. He kept telling us that there is a super steep vertwall that they use for photoshoots, and how nice it would be to snap pictures and film there since its all white and clean. We were into the idea since the start, but never really thought about it that much. Until one day, he told us that the studio was moving to a new location shortly, so it was soon time to act. We talked about it for a bit, and one night we headed there with the bikes and all the shooting gear.

So here we are, on the third floor of a big old building in Montreal, chillin' inside a studio. We wanted to shoot some casual pictures before we started to ride the said vertwall because it was just such a nice opportunity that we might never get again, so we rode the flatground for a bit:

Stéphane Bélanger - Tabletop

Michel Plonka - Oppo Barspin

Louis Lhomel - Toboggan

Then, it was time to attack the prefectly white vertwall. We setted up everything and started to ride it. It was super steep, so it took a bit of time to get used to it, but it was sure worth the effort!

Everyone had fun there, and this wonderful piece of art occured

Big thanks to the guys at Made Of Stills for letting us do this and Julien Grimard for being awesome.

The Rise x Made Of Stills session

Last week, we had the chance to go session a Photostudio. Im not going to say much about this because it is kind of hard to explain, but you can click the read more link for a couple pictures. We had a sick time there, so wait for Thursday for all the best footage we managed to get in there! Before we got the place dirty, we shot a few random tricks on flatground, came out pretty sweet. But anyways, this is just a little preview, more Photos and a Video will be online on thursday, so stay tuned!

Rider above is Louis Lhomel with a Toboggan
This is the extremely steep vertwall that wasnt exactly meant to be ridden..

Some of the boys took a trip to Chicoutimi and they went to check out this unreal spot. The province of Quebec has so many rivers and dams, and this is the perfect example of how sick that is! Photo by Raoul Duguay.

Stéphane Bélanger video

In case you missed it in the Lama cycles/NSbikes Canada street team press release, here is Stéphane's latest web video. Street lines well mixed with the music gives a really good flow to this video in my opinion. Videocred goes to Louis Lhomel.
