Bikecheck: Joey Van Den Berg's Partymaster

Bikecheck: Joey Van Den Berg's Partymaster

We’ve now been selling Partymaster frames for about 2 years, and we’re extremely proud to see orders coming in from all over the world! Peep this fresh built put together by PSBMX rider Joey Van Den Berg over in the Netherlands. We’ve said it before and will say it again; a Partymaster equipped with Industry Nine wheels is pretty much the best setup one could ask for. Check out photos of Joey’s build below along with a few words from the man himself about his setup. The dude seems stoked, and that get us stoked too!

“After dreaming for a year, I finally managed to finish the dream-build. This is definitly the best bike I ever had! Could’t think about a better combination between the Partymaster frame and the blue Industry Nine wheels. The bike came out very light aswel which makes me stoked. Thanks for designing such a killer frame! Also thanks Aidan Horn for helping me out every now and then.”

Bikecheck: Xavier "Chabz" Cloutier's Partymaster

Today, we`re stoked to bring you the Bikecheck of a true MTB Street pioneer; Xavier "Chabz" Cloutier. His name might not ring a bell to the younger generation, but Chabz is one of the OGs we started riding street with back in 2005. He took some time off the Freestyle scene for a while because of studies, injuries and also to focus on his own Handmade Frames Company; Cycles Narval. Despite not riding his Street bike much during the past few years, Chabz stayed heavily involved in Montreal's Cycling scene by building handmade steel frames and organizing various Fixed Gear races and events. He recently built up a new Partymaster and the thing is looking damn fresh! Keep on reading for all the specs and more pictures of his build!

When he's not hiding behind the camera to make the magic happen, Louis Lhomel can be found screaming his ass off and riding bikes. He recently built up a new The Rise Partymaster and his whip is fresh as fuck! Partymaster frame all decked out with NS parts and a one of a kind Fox fork, be assured that it rides just as good as it looks! Louis was involved in the whole conception process behind the Partymaster so it's dope to finally see how he built his own. Check out what Louis has to say about his new bike, and peep a full specs list with some dope pictures below!

This is the nicest built I've ever rode. We've put so much effort in the conception of this frame and I can honestly say that it rides like a dream. This bike is giving me confidence in myself and in my riding. The Rock n' Roll look and the clean lines make it the ultimate machine to rip everything in my way. I ditched the rigid fork for this build since I had the opportunity to have Matt's special build fox fork. The 44mm headtube is perfect since I can switch from rigid fork to tapered in no time. The bike feels so strong now and it just makes me want to go big! All in all, it's the sweetest, gnarliest, most versatile bike I've ever encountered! So stoked! -Louis Lhomel

Simon Leclerc Partymaster MTB Dirt Jumper

Bikecheck: Simon Leclerc's Partymaster

If you're not too familiar with Simon Leclerc, you might wanna check out some of our Older Videos to refresh your mind. Simon is the homie since day one, but he disappeared from the spotlight as he took a 3 year break from riding to focus on other projects like his career and his other passion; Rally Racing. He recently decided to get back in the game and built himself a new Partymaster to shred with the boys as you might have seen in our Weekend Warriors and HTC Session videos. Don't ask me how that's even possible, but Simon didn't lose any of his abilities to kill it on the bike, in fact it almost seems like he got better during his time off! Enough with the chit chat, check out a quick video of Simon riding above and scroll down for a full Bikecheck!

Bikecheck: John New's Partymaster

Bikecheck: John New's Partymaster

Reppin' The Rise in Austria, it's hard to describe John New in a few words. He's that tall dude that seems super calm at first, but when he gets on his bike, he does the gnarliest stuff that only him can think of. From street to dirt, he shreds it all in his own style and makes everything look way too good.

Nick Clarke Partymaster Bikecheck

Bikecheck: Nick Clarke's Partymaster

Nick Clarke Partymaster Bikecheck

Since we introduced Nick Clarke with his Welcome to The Rise video last week, let's have a look at what kind of setup he uses on his Partymaster. After riding brakeless for a long time, Nick now uses brakes, and a Gyro on a custom painted white Partymaster. Nick's setup is super dialed and judging by his welcome video and his recent 2nd place at The Brosefarm Jam, looks like he managed to build the perfect Dirt Jumping Bike. Keep on reading to see what Nick has to say about his whip, and check out the full bikecheck below!

"When I first heard about The Rise and the Partymaster I was so stoked! The boys have always had a big reputation in the Park\Street\Dirt field, and I knew that this was going to turn some heads! I have been a friend of the crew for years, but after going through so much together in South Africa for the super loop project, it felt like more of a family and I'm pumped to grow with them! I hopped on Matt's Partymaster, gave it a personal paint job and the rest is History! This is the bike for me! Between the name, the feel of the bike, and the beautiful welding and fab work by Gabo, this frame is a winner and I'm super pumped for what the future holds! From the first ride, you could feel that this bike is made by riders for riders! The long top tube and short chainstays are a perfect combination for barspins and combo tricks, not to mention spins! From the streets to the Dirt Jumps, the Partymaster keeps you in full control and leaves you feeling no limitations to the tricks you've been dreaming up! The ladies love the partymaster as well! At least the South African ladies!"

Bikecheck: Ben Desjardins' Partymaster

The homie Ben Desjardins recently built himself a The Rise Partymaster, and it looks like it didn`t take him too long to get used to it! After riding his new bike for a few weeks, he rode the Brose Farm Jam like a boss and ended up taking the win! Here's a few words from Ben about his new bike:

"It took no time at all to get used to this frame. I hopped on and it felt like I had been riding it for years. The boys at The Rise and Altruiste really outdid themselves with the Partymaster frame! Perfect geometry from the streets to park to dirt. This frame is legit! Thanks The Rise!"

Wonder what kind of setup he rode to make it on the first step of the podium? Keep on reading for a full bikecheck along with some pictures:

Aidan Horn - The Rise Partymaster MTB Frame

While recovering from a broken scaphoid for the last 5 months, Aidan took his time and built himself one of the nicest Partymasters we've seen so far. He's been back on the bike for a few weeks now and even thought he has to take it easy at first, the dude already kills it. His new ride is so damn clean and believe it or not, it weights in at only 20.8 lbs! Here's a few words from Aidan about his new setup, and in case you're wondering how it's possible to build such a light bike without compromising on strenght and reliability, keep reading below for a full specs list along with pictures.

"The Partymaster Frame is beyond expectation, I hopped on and didn't feel like I needed to get used to it, I felt comfortable and I was stoked about that. Gabbo (Altruiste bikes) did a great job because it feels so stiff, so strong, geo is as close as I could call perfect. The 44mm headtube allows me to run tapered forks making the bike feel super strong up front. The Mid BB also makes my life easier, hopefully I won't need to replace BB's every 2 months now. Stoked to have my name stamped into the dropouts too, and also a nice touch was that it also has the date that my Dad passed away stamped into it so the frame has a special value to me!

I'm currently running tubeless, it makes sense since Industry Nine wheels come with a valve and sealant rim tape, saves a shit load of weight too. My wheels have custom rim stickers and hub lasering with my name and The Rise logo on the hubshell, couldn't be happier with them. I put griptape on my cranks as always, my post is cut as short as possible and i've decided to try out a Vocal DRS device to help keep my cranks in place.

I just want to thank the whole The Rise crew for being badass and having my back no matter what, stoked for the next chapter! Huge thanks to Joe Haley and the rest of the Industry Nine crew for allowing me to ride the best wheels planet earth has ever seen, couldn't be happier to have their support. Thank you to Dmitry from Pride Street for hooking me up with lots of solid parts to finish my bike off; glad to be working with them this season. Final shoutout to SD for the seatpost I stole from him in 2011, and Murlcat for being a fucking boss mechanic."
