EPIC Bike Park Closes It's Doors !
The truth is sometimes hard to accept, and this is one of those situations. Ottawa's only indoor riding facility EPIC Bike Park just posted a message on their facebook page announcing that due to a lack of revenue, they are forced to close their doors immediately! Here is their official statement:
"It is with great sadness that we are announcing the closing of Epic Indoor Bike Park effective immediately.
Though the colder months were supposed to have brought us sufficient revenues to pay the rent, we have experienced the warmest weather since the late 1800s. Our landlord has been very gracious and given us a number of opportunities to fulfil our financial obligation, but we failed. We thank them immensely for their support!
A process is being developed to refund customers who recently purchased gift cards, birthday parties, passes, memberships etc. In order to do this, we need access to our on-site systems and files. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we work on this! Please feel free to email epicbikeparkbooking@gmail.com with any urgent requests. We promise to respond as soon as we can.
Any personal belongs can be claimed by emailing the landlord's representative: dougspecht@rogers.com with a description of your personal belongings and a phone number where you can be reached. A mutually convenient time will be set for the return of these items. If there is anything urgent, you may call Doug at 613-769-0181.
You can reach Epic by email with any other questions at epicbikeparkinfo@gmail.com
We wish to thank all our customers for their patronage, our staff for the heart they put in their work and our community partners for their ideas. We hope there is a way to bring the bike park back to life in the future."
With an important lack of alternatives to ride bicycles during winter in Quebec and Ontario, it is always sad to see an indoor bike park close doors. If you know anyone that could help them out in any way, please let us know! In the meanwhile, give another watch to Menduni and Plonka's Video filmed at Epic Bike Park earlier this year.
